Account Setup
Configure Onie Studio to match your business before you start sending invoices and contracts.
Business Profile
Navigate to Settings → Business Profile to configure:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Business Name | Appears on all client-facing documents |
| Logo | Shown on invoices, contracts, and the client portal |
| Reply-to address for automated emails | |
| Phone | Optional — shown on invoices if provided |
| Address | Required for tax compliance in most regions |
| Website | Linked from your client portal |
Currency & Taxes
Go to Settings → Billing:
- Default Currency — USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, and more
- Tax Label — e.g., "Sales Tax", "VAT", "GST"
- Default Tax Rate — Applied automatically to new invoices (can be overridden per invoice)
Onie Studio supports both North America (USD, Sales Tax) and Europe (EUR, VAT/IVA with IRPF). Select your region during setup to enable the correct tax fields.
Email Templates
Go to Settings → Email Templates to customize the messages sent for:
- New invoice
- Payment received
- Contract sent
- Contract signed
- Session reminders
- Custom workflow steps
Each template supports variables like {{client_name}}, {{session_date}}, {{invoice_total}}, and more. See the Email Automation page for the full variable list.
Terminology
Onie Studio lets you rename core concepts to match how you talk about your work. For example, you can rename "Sessions" to "Shoots" or "Projects".
Go to Settings → Terminology to customize labels. See Understanding Terminology for details.
Notifications
In Settings → Notifications, choose how you want to be alerted when:
- A client signs a contract
- An invoice is paid
- A new booking request arrives
- A workflow step completes
