Quick Start

Get up and running with Onie Studio in minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Go to onie.studio and click Get Started
  2. Enter your name, email, and password
  3. Choose your creative profession (photographer, designer, artist, or other)
  4. Verify your email address

Step 2: Set Up Your Business Profile

Once logged in, you'll be prompted to complete your business profile:

  • Business name — This appears on invoices, contracts, and your client portal
  • Logo — Upload your logo (PNG or SVG recommended)
  • Contact info — Address, phone, and website
  • Currency & tax — Select your default currency and configure tax settings

You can update all of these at any time in Settings → Business Profile.

Step 3: Add Your First Client

Navigate to Clients in the sidebar and click New Client:

  1. Enter the client's name and email
  2. Optionally add their phone number, address, and notes
  3. Click Save

Your client is now saved and ready to be linked to sessions, invoices, and contracts.

Step 4: Create Your First Session

In Onie Studio, a Session is a booked job or project. To create one:

  1. Go to Sessions and click New Session
  2. Select the client from your list
  3. Set the session type, date, and location
  4. Add any notes or deliverables
  5. Click Save

Step 5: Send an Invoice

From your session (or directly from the Invoices tab):

  1. Click Create Invoice
  2. Add line items for your services
  3. Review the total and due date
  4. Click Send — your client receives an email with a payment link
